Casting actors for a comedic online campaign for a well known sports brand to celebrate the upcoming World Cup in November 2022.
Grandpa: Lead, Male, 50-80
He's a free spirit, an older Gentleman who loves football. It's been his passion for his entire life. He does whatever he wants and says whatever he feels. Old in years but young at heart. He never considers the consequences of his actions, but why should he? After all, painting outside of the lines of whats expected of him hasn't failed him yet. Think the physicality of 'Bad Grandpa' (Jackass) with the poise of 'Royal Tenenbaum' (Gene Hackman). Production states: "We are looking for someone with a carefree attitude, completely comfortable in their own skin. Confident, up to the line of arrogant (but not crossing it) A raconteur with a playful twinkle in their eye. Eccentric and mischievous. Nationality not important but must be able to have enough fluency in English to be able to improv with the rest of the cast. Must be skilled at improvisation and physical comedy performance. Must be knowledgeable on football and feel confident improvising lines about the sport and the players."
Margot - Granddaughter: Lead, Female, 18
Playing age 15-17. Actor age 18+. Production states: "Cannot license. Think Erica Sinclair from 'Stranger Things'. She is confident, heroic, smart, sarcastic, has no problem speaking her mind and challenging her Grandpa. We are looking for someone who is naturally easy going and can crack a joke. Preferably we’d like to see people who have done some comedy work and are really into improv. We’d love for them to take the character, make it their own and enrich our scenes with unexpected performances. Nationality is not important but must have enough fluency in English to be able to improv with the rest of the cast. Ideally knowledgeable on football and feel confident improvising lines about the sport and the players."
Principle shoot w/c 24th October for 2 days; reactive content shoots throughout the World Cup 28/29th November, 7th/8th December, 16th/16th December (rough guideline). Actors will need to be based in London or with easy access to central London to attend reactive mini shoots.

Pays: £5,350.00 (Flat Rate)
Total: £5,350.00 for an estimated 2 days of work
Additional: Pays £8k fee + £350 BSF for Grandpa and £5k fee + £350 BSF for Margot. Production states: "Exact number of pieces of content is still TBC, but will be a wide range to give the brand enough content to span the length of the world cup on their social channels, primarily TikTok."
